Clean Boats Clean Waters (CBCW) inspections!
| Happy Summer – The Lake Association will be hosting CBCW boat inspections at the boat dock on July 10-12th. These inspections are important to the health of our lakes and the shoreline we love. With the growing concern over the spread of aquatic invasive species to Wisconsin’s inland lakes The Clean Boats, Clean Waters watercraft inspection program is an opportunity to take a front line defense against the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS). We also plan to educate boaters on how and where invasive species are most likely to hitch a ride into waterbodies. Inspectors perform boat and trailer checks for invasive species, distribute informational brochures, and collect and report any new AIS presence in waterbodies. You can find helpful videos on how to conduct an inspection at the UWSP web page.We will also have an in person support to ensure all volunteers feel comfortable performing the inspection and educational aspects of this event.
